I am Mrs. Davis. I want to welcome you to room 203. I am excited about our learning experiences this year. We are using the Voyager reading program this year. We will have fun with Math, Reading , Science, Social Studies and Spelling.
School begins at 9:15 and dismisses at 3:45. I can be reached at 363-5233. Most calls will go to a voice mailbox. However, I will return your call as soon as I can.
Homework is given every night except Friday. I do not send homework packets. If you believe your child needs more practice at home, feel free to practice math facts (flashcards), spelling words, writing of sentences (using spelling words) or journal writing.
Reading is expected as their homework in addition to what comes home nightly. Please read with your child at least 15 minutes a night. The Voyager program is geared to help students increase their reading fluency. Practicing nightly at home will also help in this area.
Your child will receive a "weekly report" every Friday. This report allows us to communicate. It will give you an opportunity to receive your child's work from the week and keep up with his/her progress.
