Absent Policy
If a student is absent, he/she is responsible to turn in all work.
INVESTIGATIONS:
Since the course is based on students developing the definitions and theorems for geometry, there are two options for completion of the work.
* students can attend a help night to complete the classwork investigation.
* students can complete the Condensed Lesson from the website the the lesson number investigation for the day the student was absent.
TEST:
* only absent the day of test: the test will be taken during lunch, or study hall.
* absent several days: the student will be given extended time and can make-up during study hall.
* absent on several different test days: the student, parent, councilor, and teacher will have a conference. The student has an important issue which needs to be addressed.
QUIZ:
* absent day of the quiz: take the quiz the following day during class or study hall, if possible.
* At times the student can be exempted from the quiz grade.
