Gifted and talented second graders want to be the best that they can be in all areas; therefore, they welcome challenges that will stretch them to develop the skills needed to perform at even higher levels. My chief goal is to direct them in learning to think critically as they read, write, or design and create projects. Developing great communication skills is another primary goal since they need to be able to effectively share their wealth of knowledge orally, visually, and in writing.
3rd Quarter Projects:
* Continue to write in a journal
* Develop skill in completing analogies
* Identify and use effective writing traits
* Complete a creative short story
* Begin a research project that complements the 2nd
grade social studies and language curriculum
* Explore measurement tools and problem solving
activities
* Accumulate a minimum of 400 stickers in First-in-Math
