Fourth graders crave independence in accomplishing goals, but they are held to an even higher level of accountability than in the primary grades. Most of the work assigned in the fourth grade gifted and talented program can be accomplished in class if time is used wisely. To meet deadlines, a student may be called upon to complete assignments at home from time to time. Please, feel free to contact me at any time.
Math and writing in the content areas are the two main focuses for the year. Fourth graders will not be serviced by the librarian or art teacher this year for gifted enrichment as I am assuming that responsibility. We will be using different formats, including technology, to showcase our work. |
