| Advanced Latin Italy Trip 2010 |
ALL students who are currently enrolled in an upper-level Latin class (Latin IV Prose Survey, Latin IV AA Poetry Survey, or Vergil AP) OR are in Archaeology are eligible to participate in this amazing field trip experience!
Students who have already completed any of these courses (including Latin Lyric AP / Catullus & Ovid) are also eligible to participate.
The company with which we will be travelling again this year (YAY!!) is ACIS, a highly-reputable multinational with its US headquarters in Boston.
We have had *good* experiences when travelling with ACIS- the slightly higher cost than the last two years' trips with EF is more than compensated by the increase in the customer service both before and after the trip, for you students and parents as well as for Mr Pogoni and myself; the increase in the quality of the accomodations (including their location as well as location, amenities and size) and the meals included in the program fee.
The two years we travelled with EF, most of our group ended up eating breakfast in a bakery AFTER the meal for which we'd already paid through the EF program fee was inadequate or nearly inedible. Dinners were much the same- while you should plan on having gelato (mmm) at least once most days- it's part of the trip experience!- ice cream should not be a substitute for "real food" at dinnertime!
