Room 109 Contact me via email klothst@cps-k12.org My name is Mrs. Kloth. This is my thirteenth year teaching young children. My experience has been in both kindergarten and first grade. I completed my Master’s degree at Xavier University. I am a certified Reading Specialist. I am also a National Board Certified teacher. I have already had the opportunity to meet many of you. I hope to meet all of the kindergarten parents and extended family members in person. I encourage parents to volunteer in our classroom. Your child will benefit and always remember your commitment to their education. Visitors and volunteers are always welcome. Please make sure you sign in at the office first. This is going to be an exciting year for your child. He or she will be learning new things and paving the path for their future education. These first few years are the time to create good habits that will last a lifetime. You play an important role in helping your child be successful this year.
These are a few things you can do at home. -Establish a routine at home. -Set an early bedtime and stick to it. -Create a quiet environment to complete homework. -Be sure your child gets a good breakfast at home or at school. -Do your best to keep them healthy in order to have good attendance.
I’m sure you are doing most of these things already. Remember, this is the time your child will learn good school habits. It is always easier to start out with good habits than to try to change them later. Throughout the school year we will be having parties, special events, and field trips. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Your child will enjoy spending the time with you and will remember it for a long time to come. If you have any questions or concerns, please fell free to contact me at school, through email or write a note and send it with your child. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.
