Welcome to my second grade class.
GinterS
Mrs. Ginter
It is a privilege to have your child in my second grade math classroom. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.

I have a passion for teaching and have completed 32 years of teaching. During my years of teaching I have had the privilege of teaching the last twenty years at Covedale Elementary School.

Besides teaching at Covedale, both of my boys completed kindergarten through sixth grade. So, I understand both the teacher and parent side of being a part of the Covedale community.

In addition to being a teacher I believe that we are all life long learners. Therefore, I strive to constantly update my professional development repetoire. I have my Master's Degree in Reading and have completed three years of a graduate math program at the Vermont Math Institute. I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. This summer I had the opportunity to represent the school district in Washington D.C. where I completed K-2 math training for the new Common Core Standards. (This is the new national standards that are being implemented statewide.)

This year is packed with a lot of fantastic experiences. I am looking forward to working with each one of you. Together we can make a difference in the life of your child.

You can contact me at any time:

email: ginters@cps-k12.org

phone: 363-1730

(Between the times of 7:45-2:15 the phone will not ring in the classroom, but you can leave me a message on my voice mail. I will check my messages during my planning bell and return your call sometime that day or as soon as possible. I will be happy to call you back at your convenience, just let me know a good time to return your call.)

Remember: We are a team and the more we work together the better your son or daughter will do in school. Let's make this the best year ever.
