Gym/PE with Frau Ellen Polak
Our class has gym on Wednesday from 10:50 to 11:35. Please make sure your child wears gym shoes and appropriate clothing on these days.

Room K-5 has music every Monday from 10:05-10:45.

Library/Media with Frau Eileen Kues
Our class has Library every Tuesday from 10:05-10:45. Please encourage your child to read nightly. The Rosey Reader program is a good way to do this. Remember to write the title of the book on the Reading Log every night. Return the Reading Log when it is completed and your child will bring home a new one. Incentives are given for participating in the program. Reading for 20 minutes daily will make a difference!! (Rosey Reader will be sent home within the first month of school.)

Art with Frau Mary Auer
Our class goes to Art every Friday morning from 10:50-11:35. Please wear old clothes.

German |
German with Frau Angela Mazzei
Our class has German every day from 12:00-12:30. A great website to visit for German words/language is www.enchantedlearning.com. Check it out!

Lunch
We go to lunch every day from 12:50-1:20. Please send a packed lunch or lunch money DAILY. Please discuss with your child, in the mornings, whether your child will be a packer or a buyer. Also, please teach your child how to close containers containing liquids. We have many "leaks" which attract "unwanted" visitors to our classroom. If the container is not resealable, please ask your child to throw it away. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Your child will have about 20 minutes to eat lunch and about 10 minutes for recess. Your child may use the entire time to eat if he/she is a slower eater.

Snack
Snack will be in the morning since we are scheduled for the last lunch. Snack will be between 11:15 and 11:30 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. We will have snack after specials on Wednesday and Friday. On "good" weather days, snack may be eaten outside. The class will be permitted to play on the greenspace for about 10-15 minutes before coming back in to the classroom. On "bad" weather days, your child may have rhythms, movement, games, or choice time.
Please send snacks to school on Monday the week your child is assigned to bring snacks. A snack schedule will be sent home the first week of school. Please mark your calendars for the year. There is also a snack schedule posted outside the classroom for reference.
Please feel free to bring "birthday" treats for your child to celebrate his/her birthday. Just let me know in advance.

Recess
Our class will usually go out to the greenspace at the end of the day for playtime. We try to get outside by 3:20. We will be ready for dismissal from the greenspace when the bell rings at 3:45. You may pick up your child there if you like. Please have your child to SEE ME before you take them home.

Dismissal
At the dismissal bell, our class will line up (Outside by the greenspace if the weather is good, inside if not). We will walk past all the busses, FIRST, walking up Stratford to the corner of Chickasaw and Warner. You may pick up your child there. I will wait with your child for the first couple of weeks of school and then the scheduled adult will be there to help with dismissal.
