Dear Parents and Guardians,
Because we all want the students to be ready for high school, I shall not be sending home progress reports with the 8th graders second semester. I update the grades almost daily and you can access the information from PowerSchool at your convenience. I shall continue to provide printed progress reports for the 7th graders.
Now is a good time to check supplies and make sure your student has what he/she needs to be successful. The Latin I students will be going through lesson 28 this semester and the Latin II students will be completing the book.
Doing homework nightly continues to be very important as is having a prepared and quiet place in which to work and study. Please encourage your student to designate such a place and monitor that he/she is working. Periodically check that his/her supplies have not run out.
Ask your student to see his/her planner and check the homework done with what has been assigned. Help your student practice/review his/her flash cards on a daily or weekly basis. Together we can make sure your student is on task and ready to learn.
