Writing helps students become better readers.
Reading helps students become better writers.
While I teach the reading strategies Mrs. Pietila will teach specific writing strategies. Through a Writing Workshop approach, students will write narratives (personal and fictional), research reports, letters, poems, etc. by learning to plan, write, revise and edit. More details will be coming, but a reminder: this is not about penmanship (cursive and printing). Writing is about fluent, written communication. |
