This year, the 7th grade students will be reading the novels Words by Heart, Canyons, Tears of a Tiger, The Pigman, and Heroes, Gods & Monsters. They will be studying units on mythology, poetry, and grammar. The 7th graders will also produce a writing portfolio and will make various presentations to their class.
The 11th graders will be reading Beowulf, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, MacBeth, Lord of the Flies, and Jane Eyre. They will study poetry, produce a writing portfolio, and make various presentations to their class. This is also the year when the students' produce their major research paper. |
