PreCalculus students tests for 2.6 to 2.8 were returned Friday 11/20. They were given the opportunity to rework problems over the weekend to earn bonus on the test. Rework must be done on a separate sheet and submitted by 7:30am on Monday 11/23. No exceptions. A copy of the test is provided for students absent friday. MATHATHON IS COMING! GREAT PRICES FOR A GREAT EVENT! Help young people with cancer by participating in ST. Jude's Mathathon. Go to: http://www.mathathon.org/ for more details or see me to sign up and obtain forms. Parental Permission is required.

Algebra Students in 7th and 8th grade are reminded that they must maintain at least a C average to be promoted to Geometry next year.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Tuesdays Precalculus goes 1st and Thursdays Algebra 1 goes 1st. Lunch Monday through Thursday.
Other times by appointment. Online sessions are available by request on Wednesdays at 9pm in our chatroom.
Mrs. Jackson is tutoring during 3rd and 4th bell on Tuesdays in room 120. She is also here Thursdays afterschool to help. |

Homework and Attendance is essential to success in this class. Be sure to do ALL assignments. Attempt ALL problems. REWORK problems that you get wrong and study vocabulary. Remember that there is no way to duplicated the experience of being in class. Seek information from classmates and myself for missed work immediately upon return if you must miss class.
Use links in Labs to provide practice with objectives.

Class policy dictates that students are to see me upon their return from an EXCUSED absence with a makeup slip for me to fill out. Students should arrange time to stay after school to seek extra help on items missed and to correct work discussed in class.
STUDENTS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY ARE TO HAVE THE NUMBERS OF A COUPLE PEOPLE IN EACH OF THEIR CLASSES TO CHECK ON MISSED WORK WHEN THEY ARE ABSENT!
There are 3 makeup Days each quarter for missed Quizzes and Tests for excused absenses. Please plan accordingly!
2nd Qtr dates are: 10/30, 11/20, 12/11.
Please come immediately after school on the day closest to your missed assessment. See me to discuss conflicts.

| RETESTING DURING 1ST SEMESTER |

| All students in my classes are permitted to retake 1 test during each quarter of the 1st semester. It cannot be a test where they were absent for the original and took a makeup. They must have obtained a parent signature on the graded test if the grade is below 70 and returned it prior to testing. They must take it on one of the 3 makeup days scheduled for the quarter. I reserve the right to refuse to let students who do not do homework take the retest. |
