Transportation
Please note that club members and their families are responsible for their own transportation arrangements.

Cost
• $12/visit
• Includes climbing time, harness, and shoes.
• The price is an increase over past years but still represents a discounted rate.

Belayers Required
Except when “bouldering,” club members must have somebody belay them whenever climbing. A belayer is on the ground holding the rope as a safety precaution.

Club members who are 13 or older are asked to undergo belay training. Belay training costs and other belaying-related information are below.

Belay Training and other Belaying Information
• Students must be 13 or older in order to be belay-trained.
• Belay-training, for those who have not had it, is an additional one-time cost of $7.
• If you wish to take the belay-training, please call in advance to schedule it (otherwise there may not be space).
• Once belay-trained, there is no additional cost to borrow a belay device. However, belayers must provide some sort of collateral (key, driver's license, etc.) before they will be loaned a device.
• Individuals who are already belay-trained do not have to retake the training.
• Individuals who are already belay-trained may take a free refresher.

RockQuest Waiver
• Climbers need to have a RockQuest waiver completed.
• The waiver may be found at http://www.rockquest.com/pdfs/Waiver.pdf (or by following the link to "RockQuest Forms" on the "Rock Climbing Club Forms" page).
• If a waiver has previously been submitted to RockQuest then a new waiver is not needed.

Club Membership/Paperwork
• The only requirement for joining and participating with the Walnut Hills Rock Climbing Club is to submit the club paperwork.

1. Download and complete Rock Climbing Club Forms RCCI, RCCII, RCCIII, and (possibly) RCCIV.
2. Bring all completed forms to Mr. Miles (Room 113) ASAP. RockQuest likes to have the names of club members in advance.

Additional Activities
Depending on the interest of members, the club may participate in some additional fun activities this year. Possible dates for these activities have been chosen. Firm plans can be made once interest levels are gauged.

If you would like additional information, see Mr. Miles in room 113 or you may contact him by phone (363-8529) or email (milesmi@cps-k12.org).
